Sewing is a talent that encourages creativeness, inventiveness and dexterity that will stay with the student for a lifetime. It builds an imense sense of pride at their own success in a world where so much is already done for all of us.

The Sew & Go drop-in sewing centre is based in the Victory Business Centre, Somers Road North, Fratton, PO1 1PJ and we now have two new sewing classes. Please find below a list of all courses including the new ones, as requested by popular demand.

Wednesday Class for Students age range 11 - 16 years.

• The class is held on Wedesday afternoons from 15:00- 16:30 and is specifically aimed at young people from 11 - 16 years; either for students who would like to spend additional time working on projects for the textile courses or those who just wish to make, mend or transform their own clothes or soft furnishings.

Thursday Class for students 7 - 12 years.

• This class is held on Thursday afternoon from 15:30 - 16:45 is aimed at children from 7 - 12 years. All materials are supplied for the children's classes and they work on their own projects at their own pace, consequentialy the children are often all working on very different projects. The classes are small to ensure each student has their 'own' machine to work on during the session.

Wednesday & Thursday Adult Evening class.

• The adult classes are on Wenesday & Thursday evenings from 18:00 - 20:00. Each attendee has access to their own machine to work on what ever they would like to. Seperate projects can be supplied by us (at a small addition charge) if required.

Friday Class for students age range 7 - 12 years.

• The class held on Friday afternoon from 17:30 - 18:45 is aimed at children from 7 - 12 years. Like the Thursday class all materials are supplied for the children's classes and they work on their own projects at their own pace, consequentialy the children are often all working on very different projects. The classes are small to ensure each student has their 'own' machine to work on during the session.

Saturday Class for students 7 - 18 years.

• The class held on Saturday morning from 10:00 - 11:15 is aimed at all young people from 7 - 18 years. All materials are supplied for this class and they work on their own projects at their own pace, consequentialy they are often all working on very different projects. Some of these students are already working on projects such as jackets, pleated skirts & dresses whilst others are only just starting out. The classes are small to ensure each student has their 'own' machine to work on during the session.

The cost for all these sessions is £6.50 payable on the day or £36 for six weeks pre-paid.
